Major public awareness boost as Newshour leads with funding cuts story

BCSTA's advocacy campaign on funding got a huge public awareness boost this week when Global TV headlined an interview with President Connie Denesiuk at the top of its widely viewed Newshour show (please allow time to load). In the September 22 interview, Connie stressed the impact of the loss of the funding grants and significant financial challenges to BC's boards of education – and the students they serve. The top-story feature reflects the heightened profile of public education that continues to be an integral part of BCSTA's advocacy. As BCSTA works at the provincial level, Connie thanks boards for keeping the urgent funding message alive and vital in their communities.
