Lights, camera, action!: through SCC, exciting projects come alive

Gold Trail wanted to enhance its fine arts and youth activities. Through a School Community Connections grant, it created an innovative mobile stage system. Equipped with sound and lighting equipment, the system could move through schools, community groups and organizations -- enabling the production of many local theatrical, musical and other cultural events.

That's just one example of what a SCC grant can do. All around British Columbia, there are many other project initiatives, such as early learning, physical activity, literacy, healthy eating and others that encourage community connections. The projects started in 2005, and new ones are coming to life in 2008.
