Revised (Dec 3 2008)

"My best advice is to ask questions of experienced trustees. The reality is that they won’t ever give you bad advice. Some of the board work is boring but necessary. What reenergizes me is the positive things that happen. Even school closures, which are very difficult, can have positive outcomes when you involve the community in how to restructure and rebuild. In one of the schools we had to close, we now have a performing arts centre. That’s something we didn’t have before."

Gordon Comeau,
Past President and Life Member of BCSTA, Nicola-Similkameen
