Timing of the capital plan:
May—capital plan instructions are issued by the Ministry of Education
June to September—ministry staff work with school district staff to develop the capital plan submission
October 14—boards submit the capital plan to the ministry
October to December—the ministry reviews submissions and applies provincial ranking criteria to the requests
December—the ministry notifies school districts of assigned provincial ranking
January to March—minister of education reviews and approves the recommended project list
Spring—the ministry informs boards about which capital projects received support
