Revised (Dec 3 2008)

"I was a trustee in 1981 and got involved because I was very interested in the issue of having to build a school. It sounds funny now with declining enrollment. Our job is to help every kid in the district with the money we’re given. I think the role of trustee is the most important in our society. Really. We are closest to the people who elect us. I’m working with my friends and neighbours. It’s the best sort of democracy."
